Keeping Tabs on Your Own Fitness:
Some of the things I want for everybody here –
1. Strong bones, tendons, ligaments, and muscles
2. Good cardiovascular and metabolic health
3. Improved balance and coordination
4. Improved cognition and ability to learn new things; exposure to mental stimulation
5. Effective pain management methods, posture corrections, injury prevention, and recovery aids
6. A positive body image, or belief in the possibility of achieving that
7. Mental health benefits: mood management, energy, outlook
You could come to class and get some of these benefits going through the motions, but like any worthwhile investment… the more you give, the more you benefit as a return.
I’m not necessarily talking about spending more time either.
Intentions matter more.
You could spend the exact same amount of time exercising and prioritize your dedication, focus, and positivity more… and you will progress. You will improve.
Good training requires you to get your mind right. To maximize your situation, it’s not just the equipment or the structure of the workout; it’s who you choose to be in the moment.
Passionate you beats complacent you.
Sore, tired, and expended beats comfortable and not pursuing anything.
The point I’m trying to get to is… There’s a close relationship between how much you care and the quality of your experience, fitness, health.
Sometimes injuries happen. Sometimes complacency and burnout are inevitable. I know I have been there many times. Don’t allow yourself to get stuck in a place where you are not where you should be.
If you are feeling stuck, struggling with motivation, having a hard time connecting to your workouts…
I’m easy to reach. I’m able to help, and I like to.
If you made it this far, vote for your personal top 3 attributes that I listed above.
Thank you! 😄
